This 70-minute version (plus intermission) of the Broadway musical Spamalot follows many of the story lines known and loved from Monty Python's 1975 movie while altering enough to make it appropriate for all ages.
Based on Monty Python and The Holy Grail, the story of Spamalot (Young@Part) centers around King Arthur and his search for the Holy Grail. After a rather silly bit of miscommunication leads us briefly to Finland, Arthur and his faithful, coconut-wielding squire, Patsy, begin to search for knights to accompany him on his quest. Arthur finds his first in the unlikely guise of Dennis, a hideous local mud farmer. After finally convincing the locals that he is the King by conjuring The Lady of the Lake to prove it, Dennis is transformed into Sir Galahad.
The rest of Arthur's knights are gathered from far and wide before The Lady of the Lake and her Laker Girls send our stalwart band on their way. They meet up with an unforgettable slew of outrageously kooky characters and musical hilarity ensues as Arthur and the Knights attempt to complete their quest.
